Hideki Taniuchi is a Japanese composer and guitarist born on November 15th in Hokkaido, Japan. He is best known for his collaborations with composer Yoshihisa Hirano on the music for popular anime series such as Death Note and RD Sennou Chousashitsu. Taniuchi is also the guitarist of Shocking Lemon and serves as the composer, arranger, and lyricist for their songs. Additionally, he is a guitarist for the music unit calx. In May 2012, Taniuchi was taken into custody by prefectural police in Kanagawa for the possession of marijuana.
