Satoshi Kon was a renowned Japanese anime film director, born in Kushiro, Hokkaido, Japan. Despite starting his career as a manga artist and editor in Young Magazine, he quickly made a name for himself as a gifted screenwriter with his debut in the film Memories, working on Magnetic Rose.
