Rumania Montevideo, also known as Montebi, was a Japanese pop band that was active from 1999 to 2002 under GIZA Studio. The band was formed in 1998 by the Miyoshi siblings, who were interested in starting a band. They chose the name "Rumania Montevideo" by combining the Latin spelling of Romania and Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. The band later added more members to complete their lineup and released their first mini-album, "JET PLANE", on an indies label in 1999.
