Maki Ohguro is a Japanese pop singer and songwriter from Sapporo, Hokkaido who is signed under the B-Gram Records label. She began her career in the music industry in 1989 after passing the 3rd Annual BAD audition. Ohguro Maki initially started as a backup vocalist for various BEING studio artists such as B'z, ZARD, and DEEN. In 1992, she signed a contract with Being Inc.'s company president after almost leaving for America due to feeling unsatisfied with her career as a singer.
