Yoshitoki Ooima is a manga artist hailing from Oogaki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. She collaborated with author Tow Ubukata as a designer for the manga Mardock Scramble. Ooima's mother, who is fluent in sign language, was instrumental in assisting her with the creation of Koe no Katachi, a manga that revolves around a deaf girl. Additionally, Ooima's elder sister also lends her support to her work from time to time.
