Okayasu Hajime was a renowned anime and film editor and director, born on November 29, 1936. Throughout his career, he worked on various popular anime series and films. Okayasu was recognized for his talent and was nominated for two Japanese Academy Awards: in 1997 for The Eel and in 1998 for Dr. Akagi, both as Best Editor.
